The Workshop
Welcome to our virtual workshop! This is where our latest finds appear as soon as they arrive at the studio and before we’ve had a chance to restore and photograph them properly.
Adding them here means you get an early look at what’s just landed, with the chance to express interest or buy before they’re fully transformed.
The Restoration Process:
We take great care with every piece that passes through our workshop. First, we assess what needs repairing, replacing or simply a little attention before deciding on the best approach.
Much of the work we do is behind the scenes. We ensure each piece is structurally sound, sturdy and ready for everyday use, taking care of the things you might not necessarily see as well as the details you do.
We will always restore each piece sensitively, retaining as much of its original character and charm as possible. We love a beautiful patina, an old marking or a sign of its history, so we’ll always preserve these where we can.
Some pieces need more work than others. They might be fully restored, carefully sanded and polished, or simply given a little TLC. Where appropriate, we might add one of our trademark twists; a pop of colour, a new handle or another small detail that gives a piece of furniture a fresh feel.
Everything that leaves our workshop has been restored by us, thoroughly checked and is ready for its next chapter. Simply click on any product to find out more, see our restoration plans, enquire or buy straight away.
